SALAMANCA — When questioned about his Thanksgiving dinner plans, Assistant Fire chief
Ed Fredrickson said that the firefighters on-call would be fixing their own meal at the fire hall.
“Someone gave us a turkey and a couple of pies,” he said. “Our residents are great.”
Fredrickson admitted that they didn't have much experience cooking turkey dinner, but he was sure they could figure it out.
“We'll just look it up on the internet,” he said.
Salamanca firemen Chris Campbell and Irvin Roninson display the perfectly roasted turkey they prepared and enjoyed at the fire hall on Thanksgiving Day.
The turkey and some pies were donated by grateful Salamanca residents.
