LEGAL NOTICE

CITY OF

SALAMANCA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a meeting of the Common Council held at the Salamanca Municipal Building, 225 Wildwood Avenue, Salamanca, New York, on the 10th day of December, 2025 the Common Council did duly adopt Ordinance No. 3 for 2025 for the City of Salamanca:

WHEREAS, the New York State Department of Transportation (NYS DOT) has installed stop signs at the intersection of East State Street and Central Avenue (N.Y.S. Route 219), and

WHEREAS, the NYS DOT has studied the situation and has determined that "All Stop'' (four-way stop) signs would help to promote the safe and orderly flow of traffic at the intersection, and

WHEREAS, the Common Council has determined that such an ordinance is

in the best interests of the public health, safety and welfare.

NOW,

THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED

AS FOLLOWS:

1. City of Salamanca Municipal Code Chapter 60, Article II, Section 60.22 entitled ''Stop Intersection" hereby amended as

follows:

Intersection of

East State Street

with stop sign on

Central Avenue

Entrance(s)

north & south

2. The Superintendent of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to install such sign or signs that are necessary to carry out the terms and provisions of this

ordinance.

3. This ordinance shall become effective upon the publication as set forth in the City Charter.
