SALAMANCA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a meeting of the Common Council held at the Salamanca Municipal Building, 225 Wildwood Avenue, Salamanca, New York, on the 12th day of November, 2025 the Common Council did duly adopt Ordinance No. 2 for 2025 for the City of Salamanca:

WHEREAS, the Police Commission has studied the effects on Safety and convenience of the traffic flow along South Main Street on the east side, and

WHEREAS, the Police Commission has recommended that an ordinance be adopted “On the East Side: No parking from the point of intersection of the east curb line and the East Jefferson Street south curb line southerly to the point of intersection of the east curb line and the Armstrong Street south curb.” and

WHEREAS, the Common Council has determined that an ordinance providing for such parking restrictions is in the best interest of the public health, safety and welfare.

Now, therefore, be it ordained as

Follows:

1. Salamanca Municipal Code § 60.43, subdivision 98 is hereby amended to provide:

On the East Side: No parking from the point of intersection of the east curb line and the East Jefferson Street south curb line southerly to the point of intersection of the east curb line and the Armstrong Street south curb, with the exception of Sundays between 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

2. The Superintendent of Public Works is authorized to install the required signs that are necessary to carry out the terms and provisions of this

ordinance.

3. This ordinance shall become effective upon the publication as set forth in the City Charter.
