Sealed proposals for demolition of City owned structures located at 382 Front Avenue, 21 Conrath Avenue and 197-199 Wildwood Avenue will be received at the City of Salamanca, Clerk’s Office, 225 Wildwood Avenue, Salamanca, NY 14779, until 10:00 AM local time on the Thursday, December 4, 2024, at which time the bids will be publicly opened.

The work to be performed consists of furnishing of all labor and materials for asbestos abatement, demolition and site restoration of City owned

structures.

All bids must be written in ink on the forms provided. The Contractor must submit the original and one additional copy. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond made payable to “City of Salamanca, City Clerk”, in the amount of 5% of the bid, as a guarantee that if the Contract is awarded to the bidder, he will sign the Contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond. If a bidder should fail to sign the Contract and deliver the performance bond within ten (10) days after he has received the Contract, he shall forfeit the proposal guaranty.

The project shall be done in accordance with the laws and regulations of OSHA, New York State, NY State Department of Labor (Section 115 -Prevailing Rate of Wage, Public Law 627), the Seneca Nation of Indians, SNI Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) and the City of Salamanca.

The City of Salamanca reserves the right, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bids, and to award the Contract in the City’s best interest. The City reserves the right to make the award within thirty (30) days after the date of the bid opening during which period bids shall not be withdrawn. The City also reserves the right to adjust the Contract Award Amount, up or down based on the funds available for the project.
