SPRINGVILLE — Edward McClure, 65, of Springville, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 21, 2025, at home, following a short illness.

Born Sept. 8, 1960, in Newport, R.I., he was the son of the late Richard and Betty Hardy McClure.

He was a graduate of Ellicottville High School, Class of 1979.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in Denver, Colo. and Plattsburg.

Edward had been employed as a salesman with Emerling Ford in Springville for over 20 years. He was a member of the Ellicottville American Legion Post 659.

He liked all things sports, especially the New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and could always be found listening to his music. But above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

Surviving are three daughters, Janette McClure of Salamanca, Megan (Brittney Jimerson) McClure of Bradford, Pa. and Colleen (Carissa) McLauria of Holbrook; a sister, Debora Seitz of Salamanca; four brothers, Greg (Karen) McClure of Hamburg, Leon (Paula) McClure, Donald (Joy) McClure and Dale McClure, all of Salamanca; his former wife, Pam McClure of Salamanca; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends called Friday (Oct. 24, 2025) at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca. Funeral services were held Saturday (Oct. 25, 2025) in the funeral home, with Rev. Thomas Holland, pastor of Bemus Point Methodist Church, officiating. Full military honors would be conducted by members of the Ellicottville American Legion Post 659.
