Town of Otto supports community spirit with American flags
OTTO — Just in time for the July 4 holiday, the Town of Otto Planning Board, in cooperation with the town board, proudly announces that American flags have been purchased and displayed proudly in the hamlet.
Installing the new flags came about in response to the recent survey and polling feedback from Otto community members. Town officials expressed thanks to Ray Fischer from Good Neighbor Tree Service for his assistance and donation of time and equipment to display the flags.
This initiative is a testament to our commitment to fostering a sense of unity and patriotism among residents, town officials said.
“The flags serve as a reminder of the values we hold dear and the shared pride we take in our community,” they said in a statement.
The Town of Otto invites all residents to join in celebrating this initiative. Anyone interested in purchasing a flag in memory or honor of someone is encouraged to contact a board member.
The towns and planning boards hope to continue purchasing more flags each year. The plan is to place the flags by Memorial Day weekend and remove them following Veterans Day.
