RANDOLPH — Kevin McElwain recorded a 35-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter to put Randolph back in front and help the Cardinals secure the No. 2 seed in the Class D playoffs on Friday.
McElwain ran 12 times for 82 yards while Reagan Smith carried 19 times for 78 yards and a touchdown and Connor Braley logged 21 carries for 91 yards and a score. Randolph had leads of 7-6 and 13-12 before going up for good on McElwain’s run and fending off Gowanda for the rest of the quarter.
The Cardinals racked up 295 rushing yards on 61 carries while Gowanda combatted that with quarterback Carter Capozzi, who finished 19-of-38 passing for 273 yards and two touchdowns.
Franklinville/Ellicottville 35, Royalton-Hartland/Barker 24BARKER — Quarterback Isaac Towne scored three rushing touchdowns and threw for another, helping Franklinville/Ellicottville jump out to a 35-0 lead in the regular season finale on Friday.
Towne had 11 carries for 133 yards, including 38- and 39-yard TD runs. He completed 8-of-9 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown to Bretton Blecha.
Billy Slavinski added 11 carries for 79 rushing yards and a touchdown of 39 yards.
Collin Mooney had 10 tackles, including a sack, for the Titan defense. Slavinski had six tackles including a sack and forced fumble and Towne grabbed an interception and recovered a fumble.
The Titans finished the regular season 5-3 (3-2 in league) and will enter the postseason as the No. 3 seed in Section 6 Class D.

Class D First RoundELLICOTTVILLE — Despite being on the losing end of its final two regular season matches, Ellicottville got its postseason off on the right foot, securing a 25-16, 25-13, 25-18 sweep over Maple Grove on Monday
The No. 6 Eagles were led by Natalee Leiper’s 10 kills. Riley Whitmer finished with three kills, six aces and a block, Izzy Coburn had three kills and seven aces, Hayden Andera had three kills while Ande Northrup provided 18 assists and a block.
Bryanna Cornell led Maple Grove with six kills and four blocks, Zoey Foley had 11 digs and Mady Haglund contributed 12 assists and six digs.

Salamanca 0MIDDLEPORT — After falling in three straight sets by scores of 25-9, 25-10 and 25-19, No. 14 Salamanca saw its season come to an end at the hands of No. 3 Royalton-Hartland on Oct. 28.
Skyla Dowdy led the Warriors with four digs and an ace. Joella Jimerson had two aces and three assists, Hadleigh Krug had one ace and three digs, Charli Hill had one block, one dig and two kills and Thia Chudy had one dig and one assist in the loss as well.
Cattaraugus-Little Valley 3, Wilson 0WILSON — No. 12 Cattaraugus-Little Valley carried its win streak into the postseason, collecting its eighth-straight win, a 25-18, 27-25, 25-11 sweep over No. 5 Wilson on Oct. 28.
Carly Preston led the Timberwolves with seven kills and four aces. Riley Preston finished with seven kills and Maddie Shattuck had 16 serving points in the win as well.
