Lexi Wulf’s junior softball season at Cattaraugus-Little Valley placed her on the fourth all-state team in New York State Class C, in all-star honors announced by the New York State Sports Writers Association last week.
Wulf made the fifth team in Class C. This year, she’s the fourth-team shortstop, joining another Big 30 and CCAA East I star, Portville center fielder Karly Welty.
Wulf was also a first-team league all-star in CCAA East I. In league play, she hit .541 with a .646 on-base percentage, seven doubles, a triple, seven RBI and 11 walks with eight stolen bases. Her season-best performance on the season came in a home game against Allegany-Limestone, hitting 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk and 13 putouts from her shortstop position.
“Sometimes I look at her stats, and they seem like they should be higher,” T-Wolves coach Heather Kagelmacher said. “She is a great player and defensively always has the mindset of making the right play, amazing ability to make the correct decision in no time at all.”
