CATTARAUGUS — There’s good news for patrons of the Cattaraugus Free Library — the roof project has been completed. The library board and staff would like to thank the community again for their support and patience during the construction.

The library is becoming quite a busy place. There is room for a couple more people who would like to join the Knitting Club on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. All levels of knitters and crocheters are welcome to attend.

Adult Coloring Hour continues on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. This free weekly event is filled with colored pencils, markers and a lot of coloring books. Stop in and create a masterpiece. It's a perfect idea for a Christmas gift.

Pre-School Story Time takes place every Friday at 10 a.m. Bring your young children to listen to a few short stories and maybe even create a pumpkin to take home.

Each Monday and Tuesday during the month of October, children can visit the library from 3-5 p.m. to create their very own pumpkin decoration. As always, there is no cost to attend.

The library will be hosting a table at the Cattaraugus Little Valley Central School STEAM Fair on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be activities for the kids, including the popular robotic cubes and STEM-based books. The library will also be open its regular hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on this date.

On Thursday, Oct. 24, the library will host a Volunteer Recruitment for Community Action from 2-4 p.m. Community Action is always looking for help, stop in and see if anything may interest you.

New titles added to the circulation this week include:

"The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein

"Never Look Back" by Alison Gaylin

"The Gifted School" by Bruce Holsinger

"The Chain" by Adrian McKinty

The Cattaraugus Free Library is open Mondays through Saturdays with seven patron computers and free, high-speed Wi-Fi.
