CONTROL

IN THE TOWN OF INDEPENDENCE, NEW YORK
National Fuel Gas Supply Corporation, 6363 Main Street, Williamsville, NY 14221, has applied to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the provisions of the Safe Drinking Water Act, 42 U.S.C. 300f et. seq, for an Underground Injection Control (UIC) permit renewal to continue the operation of a Class IID brine disposal injection well, Allen Whitesell SC-546. The well is located at approximately 42.08574° latitude and -77.81721° longitude, Hallsport – Independence Road, Independence, NY 14806.
This notice is being given to inform the public that EPA has prepared a draft permit, and to solicit public comment. Should there be significant interest displayed by
written public
comment, a
Presiding Officer shall conduct a public hearing on the above-identified draft permit. Comments must be submitted electronically within 30 days of the date of this notice (i.e., by no later than March 7, 2026) to Region2_UIC
@epa.gov.
