NOTICE – SEALED BIDS

CITY OF

SALAMANCA

The City of Salamanca will receive sealed bids in the office of the Salamanca City Clerk, 225 Wildwood Avenue, Salamanca, NY 14779 up to and including 11:00 AM on April 3, 2026 on the pickup and proper disposal of certain acceptable items to be discarded during cleanup days in the City of Salamanca. Such pick up is for residents who will register and pay a fee for participation in this program. Items include stoves, furniture, mattresses, doors, windows, gas grills (tanks removed) cabinets, boxed or bagged yard waste, twigs, branches (must be bundled) and lumber no greater than four feet (must be bundled), bagged books/magazines, toys, bicycles, empty paint cans, clothing, lamps and certain items

containing Freon,

registered if necessary. The bidders are requested to start June 1, 2026 in City Wards #1, #2 and #4 and start June 8, 2026 in Ward #3 and #5, with the removal from the main roads first.

The bid must be a per ton and a per Freon appliance basis. Also, please include the pickup of televisions or computer equipment in your bid.

Such bids will be opened and read publicly on April 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the office of the City Clerk located in the City Municipal Building, at the above address. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked as “Cleanup days bids” and delivered to the City Clerk at the above address. All bids must be

accompanied by a certificate of non-collusion (available in the office of the City Clerk).

The successful

bidder must provide proof of contractor’s liability insurance with the City named as additional insured and proof of Worker’s Comp

insurance, if

applicable.

The City of Salamanca reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
