GOWANDA — The Gowanda Hollywood Theater has announced a list of concerts and activities planned for the fall.

FallFest Weekend and the inaugural Gowanda Alumni Weekend will see “Fair to Fiddlin” taking the stage at 5 p.m. Sept. 25. Tickets are $12 and available at McCormack’s Hardware, Jesse’s Home and Gifts, Honk’s Grape and Grain and Community Bank from Brenda, as well as online.

A screening of the 1925 silent film of “The Phantom of the Opera” will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 9. Renowned organist Dennis James will be on hand providing the musical accompaniment for the movie just like when it was first released. James gave a short demonstration following the Theater Camp closing show in August.

Gowanda’s LOVE-INC joins with the theater Oct. 16 to present the band Five14 featuring Contemporary Christian music along with some soulful originals. Then on Oct. 23, a Hollywood Mural Celebration will be held 4-8 p.m. as a fusion of contemporary art and historic preservation.

To close out October, Jamestown Paranormal Investigators will be on hand for “All Hallows at the Hollywood” when the group will show videos of their past experiences. A showing at 5 p.m. will be for those 10 and up followed by a presentation at 7:30 for adults. Twenty VIP tickets are available to stay into the night to watch the investigators during a live paranormal investigation.

November’s lineup begins when The EagleZ performs a tribute to the music of Eagles at 7 p.m. Nov. 6. Then on Nov. 13, the Band of the Tonawandas will present a Veterans Day tribute. The 70-piece, award-winning band originally formed in 1929 with World War I veterans and American Legion members.

Gowanda soprano Kimberly Merill will perform an operatic Russian Romances recital accompanied on piano by Evelyn Lam. The concert features the works of Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov. Performances are at 7 p.m. Nov. 19 and 2 p.m. Nov. 20.

During the Christmas In Gowanda celebration, the theater will present a Christmas show. Katherine Peterson will perform Dec. 19. More details will become available closer to the show dates.
