The city of Salamanca Youth Bureau and Police Department, Seneca Nation Marshals and Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office teamed up for their annual Shop with a Cop event Wednesday. Law enforcement could be seen pushing shopping carts through the aisles at Walmart in Allegany with students from the Salamanca City Central School District. Each year, sponsors from around the area donate to the cause, giving peace officers the opportunity to introduce themselves to and be a positive influence on local children from a young age.
