Salamanca Mayor Sandy Magiera presented Sally Marsh with a special proclamation from the city Sept. 2 at her last hootenanny of the season. It recognized her 50 years of leading the sing-a-long and proclaimed Sept. 2, 2021, as Hootenanny Day with Sally Marsh. What began as singing around a campfire at Allegany State Park in 1971 grew into a hootenanny that brought joy and smiles to thousands of faces all these years.
