A new bookstore, Rustic Book Garden, recently opened at 303 Central Ave. in Salamanca’s east end. Shop owner Marra Stokes is bringing new adventures to the city and the surrounding community. The space, formerly an ice cream shop, has been transformed into a cozy little bookstore and gift shop that welcomes everyone, whether they are readers or not. For those who aren’t readers, Stokes has a little something for everyone, including greeting cards, gifts and Bills games. Stokes and her husband, Damian, stand among some of the shop’s many shelves filled with books waiting for eager readers to take them home. A full feature story will appear in the Oct. 22 edition.
