H. Louise Vier

1932–2026

THE VILLAGES, Fla. — Hester Louise Vier, 94, of The Villages, entered into rest Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026.

She was born July 19, 1932, in Jamestown, N.Y., to her late parents, Lyle and Gertrude (Hall) Richardson.

Louise graduated from Pine Valley Central Schools in 1950 as the valedictorian of her class. After high school, she went on to Buffalo General Nursing School and graduated as a Registered Nurse. Lousie worked for several places, eventually retiring from Salamanca Nursing and Rehabilitation in Salamanca, N.Y.

Louise married her childhood friend Dann Colvin Sept. 4, 1954, and were together for 39 years before his passing in 1993. In 1996, she married Lester Vier and was married for 29 years before his passing in 2025.

Louise enjoyed sewing, music and playing piano in church. She also taught her children how to play piano and organ.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan C. Whitcomb, Kathie (John) Callen and Donna (Todd) Flinchbaugh; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by a couple of nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, at Cherry Creek (N.Y.) Central Cemetery.
