KILL BUCK — Sandra “Sandy” L. Watt, 83, of Kill Buck, passed away in her home, surrounded by those who loved her, on Sunday (June 28, 2026), following a long battle with multiple sclerosis.

In 1962, she married the love of her life and soulmate, James T. Watt, who predeceased her in 2016.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Karen (Ken) Magara of Salamanca; a stepson, Kim (Joan) Watt of Annville, Kentucky; a stepdaughter, Wendy Watt and a granddaughter, Hollie Mett, both of Salamanca; a great-granddaughter, Brooke Kettle of Fort Myers, Florida; a sister, Nadine (Norm) Rhinehart of Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard and Wayne Yaw, and her grandson, Nebraska Watt.

Sandy was taken care of by a very special group of caregivers, in particular, Melissa, Theresa, and Ellen, who were by her side until the very end.

Before her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis took away her mobility, Sandy enjoyed boating, camping, sewing, baking and bingo. She loved to prepare her Texas sheet cake brownies or cookies for Karen and Jim to share with co-workers.

One of her favorite things was being adopted into the Turtle Clan by Thelma Shane and Fidelia Jimerson. She would travel with Jim while he sold his jewelry at shows across Western New York.

Sandy will be remembered for the strength she carried through life’s challenges and the many memories she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
