Carol Marie Quattrone
NEWVILLE, Pa. — Our Dear Queen Bee has left the hive. Carol Marie Quattrone, 87, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, after a brief illness, while residing at Green Ridge Village in Newville.
She was born April 29, 1939, in Salamanca, N.Y., to Adelbert and Frances Connors McKenna. They, along with her little brother Patrick, resided in a fun-filled little bungalow on Armstrong Street.
She graduated in the Class of 1957 from Salamanca High School.
The following year, on June 21, she married the love of her life, Anthony L. Quattrone, and together they raised four children: Kevin, Joel, Molly and Dana. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mom was an avid homemaker, gardener and sport enthusiast who followed her kids from game to game. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and always enjoyed meetings with her sorority sisters.
Deemed “Personality Plus” by her classmates, Mom saw the silliness in life and possessed a fabulous sense of humor and wit. She was just fun to be around and had a core group of friends that included Minnie Collins, Nan Livak, Colleen Spencer and our dear sweet aunt, Gail McKenna. Together they enjoyed many laughs, meals, a bit of wine and numerous shopping excursions.
Mom is predeceased by our dad, Tony Quattrone; brother, Patrick McKenna; her kind and super generous youngest son, Dana; daughters-in-law, Jennifer Birmingham and Marla Wilson; and great-granddaughter, MattieAnn Jordan.
A memorial mass to honor the Queen will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Our Lady of Peace Parish, 274 Broad St., Salamanca, with Rev. John Trela as celebrant.
