Prospect Elementary School and the Salamanca Kiwanis Club announce that the Terrific Kid for April is Cayelle John, a third grader from Deanna Klusek’s classroom who was nominated for her take-charge attitude when it comes to helping out. During snack time for Prospect's Power Hour program, Cayelle noticed a lot of food and wrappers on the floor. She asked if she could get a broom and dustpan to help clean it all up. Then, on another day during art class, she noticed a pile of pencil shavings on the floor. Again, without being asked, she began to clean them up. On each occasion, Cayelle demonstrated her thoughtfulness and leadership as she went above and beyond to clean up shared spaces. Prospect art teacher Casey Cutting said that she is so proud of Caylee’s initiative and drive. Keep up the amazing work!
