Margaret L. Woodworth

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Margaret Louise Holland Woodworth, 89, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025.

A native of Salamanca, N.Y., she worked at Bradner’s department store before transitioning to a home healthcare aide.

She was a very active member of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Salamanca, serving as an Eucharistic Minister for many years and a member of the weekly Bible study group. After transitioning to North Carolina in 2024, she became a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

She is the daughter of the late Patrick & Agnes Swartz Holland and the wife of the late Eugene Woodworth. She was also preceded in death by siblings George, Jim, Patricia, Eugene and Rita.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith (Richard) Dry of Graham; sons David Woodworth of Olean, N.Y., Michael Woodworth of Cumby, Texas, and Christian Woodworth of Sequatchie, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026. Final interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Salamanca.
