GREAT VALLEY — Lilly G. King, 85, of Great Valley, died early Friday morning (Sept. 26, 2025) at Olean General Hospital, following a short illness.
Born July 31, 1940, in Posen, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Josef and Olga Wildemann Pawlak. She was married in October 1965, in Germany, to Kenneth King, who predeceased her in 1987.
Along with her husband Ken, she owned and operated the former King’s Market in Great Valley for over 15 years, retiring in 1980.
Lilly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren, and playing BINGO. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Great Valley and will be remembered for her strong faith.
Surviving are a son, Richard (Lisa) King of Warren, Pa.; two grandsons, Darren (Shanna) King of Salamanca and Joshua King of Warren; a great-granddaughter, Gabriella Stahlman of Salamanca; and three great-grandsons, Seth Stahlman, Parker Stahlman and Noah King, all of Salamanca.
She was predeceased by a son, Jesse King; and two brothers, Siegfried Wildemann and Harry Wildemann.
Friends called Wednesday (Oct. 1, 2025) at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, at which time funeral services were held with Pastor Matthew Herdzik of the First Baptist Church, Great Valley, officiating. Burial would be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley.
