Youth Poultry Show held at Cattaraugus Co. Fair
LITTLE VALLEY — Youth exhibitors showed off their poultry projects Sunday at the Cattaraugus County Fair. The open class contest was an opportunity for the county’s youths to be rewarded for the months of hard work caring for and training their birds.
Amelia Fuller of West Valley secured Best in Show, with Cayla Otto named Reverse Champion. Savannah Fuller received Highly Commendable honors.
GUINEA FOWL
In the Female division, Renley Stoll of Cattaraugus took first with Paxton Stoll, also of Cattaraugus, coming second. In the Male division, Paxton Stoll secured first.
DUCK
For the Young Female division, Breanna Waild-Halla of Cattaraugus placed first, and Adah Halla, also of Cattaraugus, taking second. In the Young Male division, Renley Stoll earned first place.
SHOW CHICKEN
In the Young Pullet division, Savannah Fuller of West Valley took first, Amelia Fuller placed second and Garrett Hill of Cattaraugus was third. For the Old Hen division, Elise Porter of Concord placed first, Rhys Halla came in second and Khloe Duffy of Frewsburg took third.
In the Young Cockerel division, Amelia Fuller took first place with Savannah Fuller placing second and third. For the Old Cockerel division, Cayla Otto placed first, Khloe Duffy took second and Scott Skroback of Olean was third.
For the Trio division, a group of one cock and two hens, first place went to Amelia Fuller and Savannah Fuller secured second. Amelia also took third place.
EGGS
In the Large division, George Andolina of Collins placed first and Khloe Duffy took second. In the Medium division, Duffy was first with Colt Conklin of Conewango Valley second and Gracin Conklin, also of Conewango Valley, placing third. For the Small division, Duffy took first place and George Andolina came in second. Additionally, Duffy took first in both Extra Large and Jumbo divisions.
PIGEON/DOVE
For the Old Cocks division, Nicholas French of Olean took first. French was also first in the Old Hen division. In the Young Bird division, Amelia Fuller placed first.
