Cornell Cooperative Extension attending Cattaraugus Co. Fair
ELLICOTTVILLE — The Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners and other programs will be at the Cattaraugus County Fair, running through Saturday.
Each day, staff and volunteers in the Youth Building will be highlighting the wide variety of programs offered through CCE-Cattaraugus County.
Highlighting the Master Gardener Helpline, fair attendees are encouraged to ask questions about their gardens, houseplants or pests. Master Gardeners research and reply with evidence-based answers to help solve gardening challenges or questions.
For those curious about composting, the CCE’s traveling worms (Vermicomposting) will also be on site throughout the week. Meanwhile, the Master food preservers will be featuring their skills on Thursday, July 31.
Stop by to learn about different programs and community-based initiatives, including Master Gardener Volunteers, Seed to Supper, Cornell Climate Stewards, Chainsaw Safety Sessions, Water Testing Services, Soil Testing, Farm to School, Master Food Preserver, Journey of a Waterdrop, Cooking Classes, Pumpkin Smash, Creatures of the Night fundraiser coming in October and more.
