GREAT VALLEY — Nancy Ramsten, 82, of Great Valley, died Monday afternoon, July 21, 2025, at Olean General Hospital, following a short illness.

Born Oct. 26, 1942, in Great Valley, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ethel Kenyon Carnes. She was married on May 27, 1961, at Trinity Methodist Church, Olean, to Donald Ramsten, who survives. She enjoyed 64 years of marriage.

She was a graduate of Ellicottville High School, Class of 1960.

Nancy had been employed with CVS Pharmacy, Kokomo, Ind., prior to her retirement. She had previously been employed with Signore, Ellicottville, for over 20 years.

She was a member of the Great Valley United Methodist Church and the Great Valley Senior Citizens.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed the outdoors and traveling all over the country with her husband in their RV.

Surviving are two daughters, Teresa Milks of Liberty, Mo. and Lorri (Dan) Oglevee of Little Valley; a son, Jeffery Ramsten of Great Valley; three granddaughters, Angie (Chris) Wassmuth and Danielle (Kevin) Pentz, both of Liberty, and Kristine “Kiki” (Travis) Goodwill of Little Valley; two grandsons, Curtis Oglevee and Wes Oglevee, both of Little Valley; two great-granddaughters, Cora and Ellie Goodwill, both of Little Valley; five great-grandsons, Drew and Braden Wassmuth, both of Liberty, Ryan and Dallas Pentz, both of Liberty, and Bennett Goodwill of Little Valley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Carnes; three brothers, Glen, Roland and James Carnes; and her son-in-law, Chuck Milks Jr.

There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Cattaraugus County SPCA, 2944 Route 16, Olean, NY 14760.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
