Salamanca schools to host summer health fair
SALAMANCA — The Salamanca City Central School District announces it will host a Summer Health & Wellness Fair at the 50 Iroquois Drive campus on Aug. 22.
This free event, scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., is open to the public and offers a unique opportunity for community members of all ages to connect with health professionals, service providers and wellness advocates.
Attendees will have access to vital information, services and resources from over 40 community organizations. From seniors and students to veterans and caregivers, this event is designed to meet the needs of everyone.

“This event is about building a healthier, stronger, and more connected community,” said Kim McLarney, district nurse manager. “We’re thrilled to bring so many essential services together in one place.”
In addition to valuable health screenings and educational materials, the fair will feature wellness demonstrations, informational booths and cultural performances including the White Pine Dancers.
Attendees can explore resources and services for elders and seniors; children and youths; new and expecting families; veterans and military families; foster parents and grandparents; schools and libraries; social workers and caregivers and the entire community.
A free light breakfast will be available in the morning, with lunch available for purchase from the student-run Clymer Sherman food truck, as well as the Wanderer Hut and Fired Up Catering food trucks.
Vendors planning to attend include the Allegany Community Center, AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparents Program, Cassadaga Job Corps Center, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, Center for Elder Law & Justice, Chautauqua Center, Dental Insurance Coach, Gakwi:yo: Farms, Gundlah and Delevan Dental Center, Healthy Community Alliance, Heritage Ministries, Highmark, Hillside Children’s Center, JCC Workforce Development, Molina Healthcare, New Directions Youth & Family Services, NYS Education, NYS Epic Outreach Representative, Person Center Services, Prime Care Coordination, Salamanca Public Library, SALC, Seneca Nation Health Department, Senior Community Service Employment Program-SCSEP of Goodwill, SNI Disability Services, Southwestern Independent Living Center, The Alzheimer’s Association, The Cancer Services Program, The Resource Center, Tobacco-Free Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany, Total Senior Care, Upstate NY Poison Center, URMC, VA Suicide Prevention, VA WNY Health Care System, Vet Center, Veteran’s WNY and the White Pine Dancers.
