The Salamanca Kiwanis Club and Prospect Elementary School recognize kindergarten student Dwayne Alexander-Downey from Janette McClure’s class as June’s Terrific Kid for remembering that being safe in the summer while having fun is incredibly important, especially when it comes to water safety. Dwayne helped to save his cousin recently when his cousin went underwater and wasn’t sure what to do. Dwayne ran to get an adult to come help so his cousin would be OK. Way to be alert, responsible and capable, Dwayne! Kiwanis is so proud of you!
