Kiwanis Kids celebrate end of year at May meeting
Salamanca’s Kiwanis Kids enjoy sundaes to celebrate the end of the year during their final meeting in May.
SALAMANCA — For the month of May, the Salamanca Kiwanis Kids wanted to celebrate the awesome year they had together.
Co-advisors Michelle Sullivan and Kari Kloss said they decided to have an ice cream sundae social with all the toppings before venturing out for the group’s last team-building exercise of the school year.
The students had to work together and solve clues to find out where in Prospect Elementary School to go next to locate three keys. If the correct keys were chosen at the end of the scavenger hunt, the young leaders would be able to open the treasure boxes.
The students were successful with two of the three. Fortunately, Sullivan had a second chance to figure out the missed key, and the resourceful children worked together to figure it out.
“We had such an amazing year growing together as leaders,” Kloss said. “Thank you to our K-kids and their families!”
