    Salamanca woman charged with welfare fraud

    SALAMANCA — A Salamanca woman faces felony charges after her arrest for alleged welfare fraud, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reported April 23.

    Natasha D. Beil, no age provided, was charged at 10:32 a.m. April 21 with fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree welfare fraud and first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, class E felonies.

    Those charges stem from an investigation into complaints made by the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services into suspected welfare fraud. According to deputies, Beil allegedly fraudulently received $1,911 in SNAP benefits.

    The investigation, assisted by the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services Program Integrity Unit, is still ongoing.

    Beil was released with an appearance ticket.

    • April 22, 8:37 a.m., Primo L. Luciano, 50, of Little Valley, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and reckless driving, unclassified misdemeanors, and speeding, an infraction. Luciano was released with an appearance ticket.

    • April 22, 7:01 p.m., Bransin R. John, 25, of Salamanca, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Salamanca City Court. John was released with an appearance ticket.

    • April 22, 7:04 p.m., Jason M. Tucker, 36, of Olean, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while registration was suspended/revoked, an unclassified misdemeanor. Tucker was released with an appearance ticket.

    • April 22, 7:36 p.m., Keith E. Spruce, 51, of Salamanca, was charged with aggravated family offense, a class E felony, and second-degree criminal contempt, a class A misdemeanor. Spruce was held pending arraignment.

    • April 22, 9:23 p.m., Annemarie L. Bomberry, 35, of Killbuck, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor, and an equipment violation. Bomberry was released with an appearance ticket.

    • April 23, 9:33 a.m., Joshua J. Harrington, 44, of Binghamton, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Salamanca City Court. Harrington was released with an appearance ticket.

    • April 23, 11:14 p.m., Marcus A. Turner, 42, of Olean, was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony. Turner was held pending arraignment.

    • April 26, 2:43 a.m., Jorden M. Ambuske, 19, of Salamanca, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08% or greater, unclassified misdemeanors; improper left turn, failure to keep right, moved from lane unsafely, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to notify DMV of address change, infractions. Ambuske was released with an appearance ticket.

    • April 26, 4:51 p.m., Gavin T. Butcher, 28, of Limestone, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor, and operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate, an infraction. Butcher was released with an appearance ticket.

    • April 26, 10 p.m., Drew A. Ray, 26, of Salamanca, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor, and operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate, an infraction. Ray was released with an appearance ticket.

    • April 26, 11:17 p.m., Ryan J. Frank, 31, of Salamanca, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a class E felony; driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08% or greater, unclassified misdemeanors; endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor; moved from lane unsafely, improper left turn, backseat passenger age 4-6 with inappropriate restraint system, failure to keep right and driving to the left of pavement markings, infractions. Frank was release with an appearance ticket.

    • April 27, 8:58 p.m., Nicole M. Gray, 44, of Salamanca, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor, and speeding, an infraction. Gray was released with an appearance ticket.

    • April 27, 9:47 p.m., Thomas H. O’Connor, 65, of Salamanca, was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08% or greater, unclassified misdemeanors; and speeding, an infraction. O’Connor was released with an appearance ticket.

    Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office

    • SALAMANCA — Jessie J. Fuller, 41, of Napoli, was arrested at 4:20 p.m. April 19 on a bench warrant issued by the New York State Police. Fuller was turned over to troopers at the Machias barracks.

    • EAST OTTO — April M. Riggle, 42, of West Seneca, was arrested at 4 p.m. April 21 on two warrants issued out of East Otto Town Court. Riggle was released with an appearance ticket.

    • LITTLE VALLEY — Austin J. Harkins, 24, of Little Valley, was arrested at 9:14 a.m. April 22 on an active bench warrant issued by the New York State Police. Harkins was turned over to troopers.

    • SALAMANCA — Nathan Mohawk, 30, of Perrysburg, was charged at 2:04 a.m. April 23 with driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor. Mohawk was released with an appearance ticket.

    • GOWANDA — Claudia B. Beaton, 54, of Gowanda, was charged at 4:54 p.m. April 26 with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated, unclassified misdemeanors. Beaton was released with an appearance ticket.
