ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Conewango Watershed Commission is soliciting bids from interested contractors for the annual maintenance work on the flood control structure sites in the Conewango Creek Watershed. The sites are in both Cattaraugus and Chautauqua Counties in the Townships of

Villenova, Cherry Creek, Ellington, Conewango, Napoli, Kennedy, and Randolph. The bid package is for a contract starting June 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, with the option of Two (2), One (1) year

extensions, under the same terms and conditions, upon mutual agreement between the

contractor and Conewango Creek Watershed Commission. Enclosed is an explanation of the work needed, bidding instructions and a bid sheet. Bids will only be accepted by mail and must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2026. They will be mailed to Mr. Ken Chase, Chairman of the Watershed Commission. The bids will be opened and reviewed at the next monthly meeting of the Commission on May 13th, 2026.

Contractors sending bids on this proposal are required to have a minimum liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000.00

aggregate/ $1,000,000.00 per occurrence and Workman’s Compensation coverage. An insurance certification identifying the amount of coverage must

accompany the proposal. NYS prevailing Wage must be paid to any employee who is not principal owners of the company.

The bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked as
