SALAMANCA — Audrey Ray, 76, of Salamanca, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, following a short illness.

Born July 19, 1949, in Salamanca, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Dora Jones Jacobs. She was married to Frank Ray, who predeceased her in 2009.

She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and of the Hawk Clan.

Audrey attended Salamanca Central High School.

She was a homemaker, operating My Mom’s out of her home, and will be remembered for Indian tacos and mush. Along with her husband, she managed Frank’s contracting business for over 25 years.

She was a member of the Valley Christian Assembly and enjoyed spending time by the river at her camp in Quaker.

The family is so very grateful to all of Audrey’s neighbors and friends for all the assistance they have given since her illness.

Surviving are a son, Seneca Ray of Salamanca; two daughters, Stephanie Ray of Salamanca and Dawn Ray of Busti; two grandsons, Stephen Holland of Salamanca and Nakoa Ray of Conewango Valley; and four great-grandsons, Jermyah Holland, Javyn Holland, Jaspyr Holland and Jaycob Holland, all of Kill Buck.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Ray Howe.

There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke and O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Valley Christian Assembly, 130 Prospect Ave., Salamanca, NY 14779.
