BELLEFONTE, Pa. — Eva Blanche Mighells, 96, of Bellefonte, formerly of Salamanca, N.Y., died Saturday morning (Feb. 21, 2026) at Centre Care Rehabilitation in Bellefonte, following a long illness.
Born Jan. 3, 1930, in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Alva Burnett Ingersoll. She was married to Rev. George Mighells, who predeceased her in 1989.
She had been employed with Parkview Supermarket for many years and had previously been employed at the former Stardell in Franklinville, N.Y.
Blanche was a former member of the Jimersontown Presbyterian Church. Blanche enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening.
Surviving are two daughters, Anna (Bobby) Keth of Summerville and Sarah (Edmond) Hines of Columbia, S.C.; a son, Dr. Clyde (Beverly) Mighells of Howard; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Bryan Mighells; a granddaughter, Karen Mighells; a sister, Beulah (Emerson) Rugh of Schenectady, N.Y.; a brother, Robert Ingersoll; her dear friend, George Barney; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Friends called Monday (Feb. 23, 2026) at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, N.Y. Funeral services were held Tuesday (Feb. 24, 2026) in the funeral home, with Rev. Michael Lonto officiating. Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca.
