Salamanca High School hosted its annual half-court shot contest during halftime of the girls varsity game on Feb. 9. Carlton Farmer, Hoyondih LaDuke and Jaxon Crouse each successfully made the initial half-court shot, earning their place at the top. With time running out and no second shot made to determine a sole winner, the three participants decided to split the prize, sharing 52 Big Mac coupons provided by local McDonald's owner/operator Dave Singelyn equally. It was a packed event with many community members stepping up to take their shot.
