What a Terrific Kid!
Prospect Elementary School and the Salamanca Kiwanis Club announces the Terrific Kid for the month of January is third grader Jaxton Tucker. He is someone who demonstrates that being a good citizen in your community isn’t meant to be a one-time act, but taking every opportunity to help others around you who may need assistance. Jaxton has been recognized before, but he has gone above and beyond again. He created a social media challenge to get his friends to “adopt an elder” in their neighborhood to shovel their snow. Jaxton adopted three different elders in his own neighborhood and shoveled their porches, steps and sidewalks. His family shares that his trend caught on quickly, and many of his friends got to shoveling. What an incredible act of kindness and care for the members in his community. Great job, Jaxton! He is shown with Kiwanis Kids advisor Kari Kloss.
