BURLINGTON, ONTARIO, CANADA — Jerri Arlene Mendell, age 56, of Burlington, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2025, with her family by her side.
Jerri grew up in Salamanca, N.Y., with five other siblings. As a child, she loved animals, especially horses and puppies. She loved being outside and playing backyard games with her sisters.
Jerri attended Salamanca High School, Class of 1987. She was a member of the marching band, a basketball cheerleader and played JV basketball and softball.
She received her degree in business from Adirondack Community College.
Jerri worked for Green Flow Environmental Solutions of Burlington.
She loved family picnics in Allegany State Park, family trips to Darien Lake (N.Y.) and Niagara Falls, and girls’ trips to the mall.
Jerri was an incredible artist, a football and hockey fan, and she was funny, witty, kind and loved by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her brother, James A. Mendell; sisters, Judith A. Mendell, Janice A. (Jim) Smith and Julie A. (Dennis) Ewing; and several nieces and nephews.
Jerri was predeceased by her father, James R. Mendell; mother, Harriet L. Mendell; and sisters, Louise E. Mendell and Joyce A. (Paul) Nelsen.
There will not be any service. Her family will celebrate her life in a private setting at a later date.
