DELEVAN — Robert Edward Pawk, of Delevan, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, at the age of 87.
Born June 16, 1938, in Salamanca, he was the son of the late Peter D. and Esther Lucy (Prusinowski) Pawk.
Robert earned his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Bonaventure University and proudly served his country as a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was a past member of the Salamanca American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post 535 and the Holy Cross Athletic Club.
A devoted member of St. Mary’s Church in Arcade, Robert was an enthusiastic fan of the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. He also enjoyed working on puzzles and cherished the time he spent with his family.
Robert worked for many years as a Quality Control Auditor for Prestolite in Arcade and previously taught history at the West Valley Central School District.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy (Galton) Pawk, whom he married on July 8, 1972. He is the loving father of Becky (Jim) Papke of Delevan, Tracy Fitzharris of Webster and Lori (Nick) Koziol of Bliss; cherished grandfather of Brianna, Abby, Logan, Jacob, Angelina, Adrianna, Evan, Arabella, Maddie, Genevieve, Callum and Colton; and beloved great-grandfather of Maya and Sage. He is also survived by his nephew, David, and his treasured cats, Cece and Rose.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Joan (Al) Miles, and his nephew, Peter.
Family and friends called Monday (Dec. 1, 2025) at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday (Dec. 2, 2025) at St. Mary’s Church, 417 W. Main St., Arcade, with Rev. Jozef Dudzik and Deacon Mark Kehl officiating. Final interment with military honors would immediately follow in Delevan Cemetery.
