KILL BUCK — Debra J. Redeye, 67, of Kill Buck, died Monday evening, Nov. 17, 2025, at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center of Olean, following a long illness.

Born Nov. 27, 1957, in Olean, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Phoebe Oliverio Redeye.

She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and of the Heron Clan.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1975.

Debbie had been employed with the Seneca Nation of Indians in the Tero Compliance Division for over 10 years and had previously worked in the Seneca Nation Museum and One Stop.

She was very active in the Seneca Party.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and spending time in her home. She enjoyed travelling, doing beadwork and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan.

Surviving are a daughter, Natalie (Roger Phearsdorf) Simons of Kill Buck; three granddaughters, Kaya Pierce of Salamanca, Clarissa John and Delilah Phearsdorf, both of Kill Buck; three grandsons, Clayton Jimerson of Steamburg, Asa John of Salamanca and Blake Simons of Mansfield; a great-granddaughter, Rosie Jimerson of Steamburg; a sister, Barbara Redeye of Kill Buck; three brothers, Clifford (Beverly) Redeye Jr. and George Redeye, both of Kill Buck, and Douglas (Bobbie) Redeye of Salamanca; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Carl Simons; a grandson, Austin Jimerson; and a sister, Cheryl “Channy” Redeye.

Friends called Friday (Nov. 21, 2025) at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, at which time funeral services were held, with Augie Beyer officiating. Burial would be in Horseshoe Cemetery, Carrollton.
