SALAMANCA — Ronald E. Hutchison, 81, of Salamanca, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday evening, Aug. 27, 2025.

Born Dec. 1, 1943, in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Ernest W. and Virginia Conhiser Hutchison. He was married Jan. 30, 1965, to the love of his life, the former Cynthia I. Warner, who survives.

He was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1961.

Ron had worked for many years at King Windows in Little Valley and Philadelphia Furniture in Salamanca as a supervisor.

He was greatly known for his musical abilities, singing and playing guitar in the band Country Playboys for 15 years. He especially enjoyed his jam sessions with his son, Tim and daughter, Nicole, playing in their band Campfire Band.

Surviving besides his wife are three children, Aimee (Daniel) Stanbro, Timothy (Sherri) Hutchison, and Nicole (David) Hutchison-Hurd; seven grandchildren, Scott (Andrea) Stanbro, Danielle (Ed) Amore, Hayley (Brian) Lester, Danah (Donald) Forward, Ronald (Paige) Forward, Mackayla Forward and Dakota (Jermyah) Hurd; 13 great-grandchildren who he adored and loved spending time with; and a sister, Judith Mahnk.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Russell Hutchison.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 6, 2025) at the Ischua Union Church, 5623 Route 16, Ischua, with Rev. David Fisher officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Ischua Union Church.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
