Salamanca schools recognize excellence in transportation
SALAMANCA — At the opening day ceremony for the 2025-26 school year Tuesday morning, Superintendent Dr. Mark Beehler recognized pivotal members of the Salamanca City Central School District’s transportation staff.
For the second year in a row, the district’s transportation department mechanics and head bus driver received a 100% passing rate from the New York State Department of Transportation — all without any downtime in the school fleet.
The team includes mechanics Lee DeBoy, Bill Frazier, Pat Scanlan and Mike Mohr and Roger Ball, head bus driver.
“We are proud to recognize the Salamanca City Central School District Transportation Department Mechanics and Head Bus Driver for their incredible achievement,” Beehler said. “Their dedication, hard work and commitment ensure that our buses are always safe, reliable and ready to transport our students each day.”
Beehler said keeping Salamanca school children safe is the department’s top priority, and the team’s record of excellence shows just how much they care.
“Please join us in congratulating and thanking our transportation department for their outstanding service and for going above and beyond for our students and community,” he added.
