Salamanca Police

  • Aug. 17, 1:31 a.m., Marissa M. Matter, 30, of Salamanca, was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08% or greater and operating a motor vehicle while registration is suspended/revoked, unclassified misdemeanors; uninspected motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, improper left turn, improper right turn, failure to keep right and use of alcohol/cannabis in a motor vehicle on the highway, infractions. Matter was released with appearance tickets.
  • Aug. 20, 10:52 a.m., Joshua E. Dowdy, 28, of Salamanca, was arrested on a warrant related to charges of second-degree burglary, a class C felony; second-degree menacing, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, petit larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree aggravated harassment, class A misdemeanors. Dowdy was held pending arraignment.
  • Aug. 20, 4:07 p.m., Thomas R. Fischer, 60, of Salamanca, was arrested on a warrant related to charges of second-degree assault, a class D felony; second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, class A misdemeanors. Fischer was held pending arraignment.
  • Aug. 20, 5:10 p.m., Patrick A. Hathaway, 26, of Salamanca, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of McKean County (Pa.) Court. Hathaway was remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail and held as a fugitive from justice.
  • Aug. 20, 5:47 p.m., Cynthia G. Redeye, 67, of Salamanca, was arrested on a warrant related to a charge of petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor. Redeye was released with an appearance ticket.
  • Aug. 21, 2:29 p.m., Julian B. Miller, 29, of Little Valley, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, class A misdemeanors. Miller was held pending arraignment.
  • Aug. 21, 8:02 p.m., Patrick J. Rogers, 30, of Amherst, was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08% or greater, unclassified misdemeanors; failure to keep right, driving to left of pavement markings, moved from lane unsafely and failure to give half the road to traffic, infractions. Rogers was released with appearance tickets.
  • Aug. 22, 9:56 a.m., Samantha J. Miller, 38, of Salamanca, was charged with two counts of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor; use of a motor vehicle without an interlock device, a class A misdemeanor; and unlicensed operator, an infraction. Miller was released with appearance tickets.

Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office

  • GREAT VALLEY — Ryan J. Mighells, 42, of Great Valley, was charged Aug. 18 with three counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony, and third-degree forgery, a class A misdemeanor. The charges stem from an investigation into alleged fraud. Mighells was released with an appearance ticket.
  • LITTLE VALLEY — Parrish T. Marks, 43, of Buffalo, was arrested at 5:55 p.m. Aug. 19 on a warrant issued out of Kenmore Town Court. Marks was turned over to the Kenmore Police Department.

New York State Police

  • ASHFORD — Laura M. Rehrauer, 44, no address provided, was charged Aug. 18 with petit larceny and third-degree forgery, class A misdemeanors. The charges stem from an incident reported Aug. 4. Rehrauer’s status was not reported.
  • CATTARAUGUS — Dale Wagatha, 43, of Steamburg, was charged at 9:23 a.m. Aug. 22 with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief, class A misdemeanors. Wagatha was released with an appearance ticket.
  • SOUTH DAYTON — Travis R. Terry, 34 of Dunkirk, was charged at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 22 with issuing a bad check, a class B misdemeanor. Terry was released with an appearance ticket.
