LITTLE VALLEY — In loving memory, our beautiful and beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Vivian Grace Frenz, passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, surrounded by family.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and a profound appreciation for the simple joys of life.

She was born Sept. 17, 1936, to Lillian Pearl Gotshall and Mark B. Winship of Little Valley. She married the love of her life, Carl F Frenz, in 1957. Together they devoted their lives to each other, their family and their dairy farm.

Vivian was a member of the First Congregational Church of Little Valley, the Ellicottville and Salamanca historical societies, New York State Farm Bureau, The Steamburg Milk Co-op, where they won many quality milk awards, Salamanca Garden Club, Little Valley Senior Citizens and the Napoli Red Hat Society.

She is survived by five children, Pam (Tim) Zimbardi of Little Valley, Lynette Frenz of Little Valley, Wendy (Larry) Magiera of Baldwinsville, Tim (Dawn) Frenz of Aledo, Texas and Shannon (Ryan Barrett) Frenz of Little Valley; 14 grandchildren, Natasha (Kyle) Drum with their children Gage and Gianna, Jared (Susie) Zimbardi with their children Audrey and Vinny, Jennesa (Kris Booth, Maddie and Grant) Zimbardi with her child Stella Hannahs, Elizabeth (Dan) Strathdee, Joshua (Emily) Magiera with their children McKenna and Jack, Kari (Brad) Salois and their children Wyatt, Logan and Julia, Jameson (Sarah) Frenz with their child Abigail, Jensine Frenz with her children Carl and Ellen, Kegan Frenz, Simeon (Alyxandra) with their children Joan and Ezekiel, Miriam (Kyle) Russell, Mathias Frenz, Micah Frenz and Lydia Frenz. She is also survived by one of her sisters, Marcella Covedill of Warsaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Vivian was predeceased by both her parents; her husband, Carl, of 61 years; and eight brothers and sisters.

A celebration of Vivian’s life will be held at a later date.
