- Aug. 7 – Ellicottville Gazebo Series in front of town hall in the village. Lawn chairs, picnic baskets, coolers and even the family pet is welcome. Performance by Joe Wagner. Free. 7–9 p.m.
- Aug. 8–10 – ‘Pump Boys and Dinettes’ Musical at Ray Evans Seneca Theater, Salamanca. Presented by Cattaraugus County Living Arts Association. High-energy, jukebox musical blending country, rockabilly and blues. 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday.
- Aug. 8–10 – Sportsmen’s Rendezvous at Little Valley Fairgrounds. Conservation displays, archery, black powder, trapping, fishing, guns, taxidermy dealers, big buck club display and live seminars. Call (716) 763-3416.
- Aug. 9 – Community Meal at Trinity United Church of Christ, Gowanda. Menu includes Sloppy Joes, pasta salad, chips, fruit jello and cookie. Take-out only. Use Park Street entrance. Free. Donations appreciated. 4 p.m.
- Aug. 9 – Sunset Movie Saturdays at Jefferson Street Park, Salamanca. Hosted by Seneca Salamanca Chamber of Commerce. Showing of “Kung Fu Panda 4.” Free. 8:30 p.m.
- Aug. 9 & 10 – Taste of Ellicottville throughout downtown Ellicottville. A smorgasbord featuring some of Ellicottville’s most delectable eateries.
- Aug. 10 – ‘Biking the Empire State’ Book Signing at Griffis Sculpture Park, East Otto. open to the public but is ticketed with an admission fee. Noon to 6 p.m.
- Aug. 10 – Sunday Sound Series at Griffis Sculpture Park. Performances by Sitar Jams featuring trio playing funk, jazz and rock on the sitar. Held at Mill Valley Road area of the park. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and small coolers. 2 p.m.
- Aug. 12 – Haudenosaunee Art and Culture Workshop at Quaker Picnic Shelter, Allegany State Park. Presented by Bernadette Scott. Learn about the art and history of traditional crafts and experience rich heritage and storytelling. 1–2:30 p.m.
