Ferguson hits four homers in fastpitch softball action

FRANKLINVILLE — In Sunday’s Dave Gaeta Memorial Franklinville Fast Pitch Softball league action, the four way tie for the league lead was cut in half as the BallBarions (3-3 ) upset Straight to the Top (4-2 ), 20-16.

The BallBarions were led by Josiah and Kasen Jarocinski’s hitting two home runs each, while Blake Frank added four hits in the win. Julian Wilson pounded a home run for the Toppers.

In other games, Apollo Canna (5-1 ) eliminated the Gamecocks (2-4 ) from the playoff picture and remained in a tie for the regular season crown. Apollo Canna was led by Mike Ferguson’s four home runs and Jaxon Tarr hit three. The Gamecocks were led by Logan Frank and Wake Kless with three hits each.

IooB (5-1 ) got a 17-14 win over the Shamrocks (4-2) to set up next Sundays regular season final shootout with Apollo Canna for the championship. IooB was led by Wake Kless and Jeff Schley each with a home run and Dakota Ballard got four hits. Hunter Watt and Blaine Morgan each smashed a three run homer to lead the Shamrocks.

In the final game of the day, John and Mary’s (1-5 ) got its first win of the season, keeping Steele and Obrien’s (0-6 ) winless. John and Mary’s was led by Carson Learn’s 4 hits with a Hr, and Lincoln Newberry’s 3 hit effort, while Steele and Obrien’s got 2 hits each from Neland Cummings and Kyle Duchese.

The regular season wraps up next Sunday, with four games at Franklinville Legion Park.
