Ellicottville Historical Society presentation Wednesday
ELLICOTTVILLE — The Ellicottville Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Ellicottville Memorial Library, 6499 Maples Road.
The speaker for this month is Ellen Frank, town historian, who will give a presentation on the Battle of Lexington and Concord. The historic battle recently celebrated its 250th anniversary as the start of the Revolutionary War.
The meeting is free and open to all. A short business meeting will take place before the presentation.
On Saturday, July 5, the next historical walking tour of Ellicottville will be held at 1 p.m. Cost is $10 per person; cash or check accepted. Meet at the village gazebo.
The walk will feature the houses of the forefathers who helped make Ellicottville the town it is today. A few new houses have recently been added to the tour. The tour is estimated to take 90 minutes. For more information, contact Ellen Frank at (716) 474-8528.
The Ellicottville Historical Museum is open every Saturday and Sunday, 1–4 p.m. A number of enthusiastic volunteers are on hand to show you around.
