As part of the new City Cruises Live event series, Chef Adrianne will kick off the culinary series in her hometown of Chicago on May 14, followed by Boston, Washington, D.C, New York, San Francisco, and San Diego.

NEW YORK, April 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — City Cruises, the leader in dining and sightseeing cruises worldwide, is excited to announce “Maximum Flavor with Chef Adrianne: A Culinary Voyage,” a new immersive culinary experience with Chef Adrianne Calvo, an award-winning Chicago-born chef and restauranteur. Chef Adrianne will embark on a six-city tour this summer and fall, starting in Chicago on May 14, followed by events aboard City Cruises ships in Boston, Washington, D.C., New York, San Francisco, and San Diego.

With 50% of global travelers booking restaurant reservations before flights this year, City Cruises’ new partnership with Chef Adrianne delivers an unique opportunity for foodies looking to immerse themselves in America’s culinary capitals. The culinary tour is part of City Cruises’ new live entertainment series, City Cruises Live, which is bringing the best in live entertainment, music, sports, and more to the water.

“Great food should be more than just a meal—it should be an experience that excites, transports, and brings people together,” said Chef Adrianne Calvo. “That’s why I’m thrilled to partner with City Cruises Live to create six unique menus, each inspired by the flavors and culture of our incredible port cities. This series isn’t just about dining—it’s about making unforgettable memories, and I can’t wait to engage with guests on board this culinary journey.”

As part of the event, guests will enjoy an expertly curated four-course menu tailored to each city’s unique cuisine, blended with Calvo’s signature “Maximum Flavor” style. While dining, Chef Adrianne will walk guests through her inspiration, flavors, ingredients, and process, and will even partake in a live cooking demonstration in most cities. While enjoying stunning views of some of America’s most famous locales from the water, guests may also have access to a full bar to enjoy cocktails and music provided by an onboard DJ. As a VIP add-on, guests can opt to board early for an exclusive meet and greet with Chef Adrianne, which includes a live cocktail-making demonstration led by Calvo and photo opportunity with a signed, printed souvenir photo. Additional extras in select ports include a signed copy of Chef Adrianne’s cookbook and an event-exclusive culinary apron.

Notable standout menu items will include playful twists on Chicago classics, such as charred octopus with giardiniera relish, “Deep Dish” tomato bisque, and Chicago stout beer braised bone-in short rib. In Boston, the city’s rich maritime tradition is reflected in its selection of Duxbury Bay fresh oysters, New England clam chowder, Panko-crusted cod, and Boston cream pie to round out the four-course meal. Menu details for other cities are coming soon, and all menus are subject to change.

Dates and locations of the culinary voyage include:

“City Cruises Live is delighted to partner with Chef Adrianne and to showcase her signature style on tour across America,” said Mike Flaskey, CEO, Hornblower Group. “With this exciting partnership, City Cruises is reimagining what dining experiences await on the water, mixing culinary expertise with some of America’s greatest local cuisines, all while creating memorable experiences with friends and family.

Chicago-born and Miami-made, Adrianne Calvo is an award-winning chef, author, restauranteur, and Emmy-nominated YouTube show host. Her Miami restaurant, Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Bar, has been featured in Zagat, Miami Herald’s “Best of Miami-Dade,” and Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence. The restaurant’s popularity and Chef Adrianne’s own recipes on the gourmet delivery service, Goldbelly, spurred her to launch her new shop, Baked by Chef Adrianne.

The new City Cruises Live series leans into the growing tourism trend of travelers prioritizing unique experiences over purchased goods, seeking to create lifelong memories with their family, friends, and communities. By incorporating exclusive events into City Cruises’ existing sightseeing and dining cruises, guests can experience the cruise operator’s world-class hospitality on another level, curated to their favorite interests and passions in the cities they love.
