Salamanca’s Bacelli places 4th
BUFFALO — Salamanca’s Maelonnee Bacelli placed fourth in the Section 6 girls wrestling state qualifier at Sweet Home High School on Friday.
Bacelli lost a semifinal match, both won a consolation semifinal to make the podium after a third-place match loss.
Kendra Bova-Redeye (145) and Madison Mohr (185) “wrestled strong,” coach Dennis Brown said, but fell short of making the top four.
“The girls will look to build off of their first ever season as a girls wrestling team and roll into next season strong,” Brown said.
