Approximately 80 daredevils of all ages participated in Holiday Valley’s annual Pond Skimming event Sunday. As spectators cheered them on, hardy souls on skis or snowboards zipped down Yodeler Slope at breakneck speed in an attempt to skim across the icy water of a pond built from snow. With so many skimmers competing on a balmy day, the event was said to be one of the best pond skims ever.
