EAST OTTO — There will be a benefit BBQ pork dinner Sunday starting at 11:30 a.m. in the downstairs community room of the East Otto United Methodist Church, 7896 E. Flats Road.
The benefit is for Jessica Duerr, 46, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. She is the mother of three sons, Henry, 14, Roland, 12, and Arthur, 12.
Duerr’s journey with cancer began Sept. 12, 2020, when she was riding in Allegany State Park and suffered several seizures. Subsequent medical care discovered a brain mass. She was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of primary brain cancer.
Since diagnosis, Duerr has undergone three brain surgeries and been under the care of doctors in Buffalo and Boston. She continues to care for her home and family daily.
This will be a donation-only dinner with no set price. Participants may eat-in in the community room. Takeouts will also be available with the boys delivering them.
Make a donation and enjoy a wonderful BBQ pork dinner with all the trimmings.
