Ellicottville senior Lucas Marsh was one of the 15 players named by the Olean Times Herald to its Big 30 Baseball All-Star team, the paper announced Wednesday.
Marsh was dominant on the mound pitching for the Eagles this year, compiling a record of 8-0 with a 1.016 earned run average (ERA) with 115 strikeouts to 22 walks in 62 innings. He held teams to an opposing batting average of .142.
Marsh is a two-time Big 30 Baseball All-Star and also made the Big 30 Football All-Star team in the fall of his senior year at quarterback.
Marsh has made his league’s first-team all-star list three times (2019, 2021, 2022) and was his team’s MVP the last two seasons. He set a school record with 17 strikeouts in a win against Cattaraugus-Little Valley. He plans to continue his baseball career at Jamestown Community college next year.
