SALAMANCA — Mikaela Tennity and Camryn Quigley each won an individual event and swam on a winning relay for the Salamanca girls swimming and diving team on Thursday, but Panama took the meet by a 106-76 score.
Tennity won the 200-yard freestyle (2:26.63) while Quigley won the 100 freestyle (1:02.18). Both swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay alongside Jem Yarbour and Charli Ross for a time of 4:41.49.
In total the Warriors had 41 personal records by 23 of the 26 girls on the Salamanca roster. Quigley also had a second place finish (200 IM) and Tennity had a second in the 100 breaststroke. Gabby Bly (diving) and Charli Ross (200 free, 100 butterfly) also took second.
Evelyn Montagna (200 IM, 100 breastroke) took first in two individual events and swam legs on a pair of winning relays (200 medley, 200 free) to propel Panama to a road victory.
Jayln Linton won the dive for Panama with 197.70 points and Emery Watkins (100 butterfly, 50 free), Cassie Lyon (500 free) and Desiree Putt (100 back) all picked up individual wins.
