QUAKER RUN — Allegany State Park will again celebrate National Public Lands Day on Sept. 28 on the Quaker side of the park.
Check-in and registration will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Quaker Picnic Shelter.
Service projects will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a picnic dinner at 4 p.m.
The event will be held rain or shine. Participants are asked to come dressed for the weather and can expect to get dirty.
Attendees are asked to pre-register by Sept. 23 by contacting the Environmental Education and Recreation Department at 354-9101, ext. 236. Walk-in volunteers will be accepted on the day of the event.
